Successfully Maintaining Security in the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections, the Chancellor of IAIN Ternate Appreciates the Performance of the North Maluku Regional Police

TERNATE – Chancellor of the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Ternate, North Maluku, Prof Dr Radjiman Ismail, M.Pd appreciated the performance of the North Maluku Regional Police (Polda).

According to him, throughout the implementation of the 2024 simultaneous regional elections in North Maluku, the North Maluku Regional Police worked very well, and maintained the security situation and public order (kamtibmas) during the 2025 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) celebrations.

The performance shown by the North Maluku Regional Police, he continued, deserves to be appreciated, and must be supported so that conditions in North Maluku remain safe and peaceful.

"It must be appreciated, because the police, in this case the North Maluku Regional Police, worked very well throughout the 2024 political year, as well as maintaining the 2025 Christmas and New Year celebrations," said Radjiman when contacted via WhatsApp, Sunday (5/01/2025).

He hopes that the security and social security situation which is generally safe and orderly throughout 2024 will continue in 2025. Because he believes that the implementation of the 2024 simultaneous regional elections has been completed.
However, he said, the process of dispute over regional head election results (PHPU) is still ongoing at the Constitutional Court (MK), so the public is asked to maintain security and order.

"Let's work together to maintain security and order, and continue to uphold harmony throughout 2025," he asked.

He added that maintaining security and order is the responsibility of the police, but he continued, to create a conducive situation, the community must play a role in assisting the police.

"A conducive and harmonious atmosphere certainly starts from the environment. If this is the case, then it can be judged that the community has helped the police in maintaining security and social order." he stressed. (*)
