
Open Regular KKN Provisions and Collaboration on Religious Moderation, This is What the Chancellor of IAIN Ternate Says
TERNATE β State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Ternate, North Maluku, through the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) provides students with Regular Real Work Lectures (KKN) and Religious Moderation Collaboration.
Collaborative KKN was carried out by IAIN Ternate in collaboration with 5 state Islamic religious universities (PTKIN) outside North Maluku, namely Sunan Ampel State Islamic University (UIN) Surabaya, UIN Satu Tulungagung, UIN Malang, UIN Makassar and IAIN Kediri with the number of KKN participants 513 students.
The KKN training activity entitled harmony of diversity: strengthening social, cultural and economic life in North Maluku, took place in the IAIN Ternate auditorium, and was officially opened by the Chancellor of IAIN Ternate, Prof Dr Radjiman Ismail, M.Pd, Monday (29/7/2024 ).
In his speech, he said that the briefing activity aimed to provide understanding to students as KKN participants, so that when they were at the KKN location, they could carry out activities in accordance with the targets set by the organizing committee.
"So, when they are at the KKN location, students are expected to not only carry out activities as regulated by the committee, but students are also required to learn directly with the community," he said.
The former Dean of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTIK) IAIN Ternate, also hopes that students will quickly adapt to conditions at the KKN location, as well as inviting the community to collaborate in making the activity a success. That way, practically the activities carried out by students can run according to the expected targets.
"The people in North Maluku have various languages ββand cultures, so students must be smart in adapting, so that they don't experience obstacles during KKN activities," he said.
Meanwhile, the chairman of LP2M IAIN Ternate, Dr Muhammad Zein, M.Pd, explained that in implementing the KKN in 2024, his party designated three regions as KKN locations, namely Ternate city, North Halmahera district and East Halmahera district.
"The departure of participants to the KKN location will be held on Wednesday, July 31 2024," he explained.
This IAIN Ternate professor candidate said that in this KKN, although the activity format remained the same as in previous years. However, his party really pays attention to the safety aspects of participants throughout the KKN activities.
"For this reason, the supervisor's responsibility is not only to accompany and pick up KKN participants, but we emphasize that health is the most important thing that continues to receive attention," he stressed.
Just for your information, the KKN training activity lasts for two days, namely Monday to Tuesday (29-30 June 2024). And on Wednesday (31/7) morning, KKN participants will depart for North Halmahera and East Halmahera districts via the Bastiong Ternate Ferry ferry port, as well as students placed in Ternate city will be accompanied directly by their supervisors.
