The Dean of FEBI IAIN Ternate said that FEBI Alumni were Quickly Absorbed in the Banking Sector
TERNATE – Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Ternate, North Maluku, Dr Abu Sanmas, S.H., M.H., M.Pd, said that FEBI IAIN Ternate alumni were quickly absorbed into the world of work, especially in the banking industry.
This is based on data collected by the faculty, namely in the banking sector in the city of Ternate and in a number of districts and cities there are alumni from FEBI IAIN Ternate.
He assessed that many FEBI IAIN Ternate alumni have been absorbed into the banking sector, because the quality is reliable. According to him, the existence of a mini bank and laboratory is a benchmark for the output (results/outputs, ed) of FEBI IAIN Ternate.
Because, he continued, throughout the lecture, FEBI students are not only taught theory, but also practice directly in mini banks and computer laboratories. For this reason, with theory and supported by practice, we can produce alumni who are reliable in quality and can compete in the world of work.
"Based on the data we have, our alumni are at Bank Indonesia, BRI, BNI, Mandiri, BTN, Sinarmas, BSI, MyBank, Bank Bahari Berkesan, Pegadaian Syari'ah, and at a number of banks in districts and cities in North Maluku ," he said, when met in his office, Tuesday (30/7/2024).
"For the time being, we are collecting data on our alumni who work in the banking sector outside North Maluku," he added.
This doctor who graduated from Padjadjaran University, Bandung, explained that apart from the existence of a mini bank and computer laboratory, the teaching staff at FEBI IAIN Ternate also carry the enthusiasm of producing capable and high-quality FEBI alumni.
So, according to him, even though FEBI is the newest faculty at IAIN Ternate, every year, it always competes fiercely with other faculties in accepting new students.
"Prospective new students make the choice every year to join us at FEBI, because they know that FEBI alumni are quickly absorbed into the world of work," he explained.
So many alumni quickly found work, so he believes that next year his party will encourage two study programs at FEBI IAIN Ternate to achieve superior accreditation. The two study programs are Sharia Banking and Sharia Accounting.
He revealed that his party made this breakthrough because it was to answer the hopes of the Chancellor of IAIN Ternate to carry out the transformation of IAIN to UIN, because according to him, one of the important requirements in the transformation process was related to superior accreditation for each study program in the faculty.
"Apart from continuing to pay attention to improving the quality of students, we also hope that in the coming year our two study programs can achieve superior accreditation," he concluded.
