TERNATE –The State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Ternate, North Maluku sent the Chair of the Student Executive Council (DEMA) Badwi Pina to participate in National Student Leadership Education and Training activities (Diklatpimnas) in 2024.
The activity, which was organized by the Directorate of Islamic Religious Higher Education (Diktis) of the Ministry of Religion in Jakarta from Sunday to Wednesday (20-23 October 2024), was attended by all Chairs of the Student Executive Councils of Islamic Religious Higher Education (DEMA PTKI) throughout Indonesia.
Deputy Chancellor of IAIN Ternate for Student Affairs and Cooperation Dr Mubin Noho, M.Ag when met after the 2024 National Santri Day rally in the main field of the IAIN Ternate campus, Tuesday (22/10/2024) said, Diklatpimnas which is implemented by the Directorate of Islamic Religious Higher Education ( Diktis) Ministry of Religion, is an annual activity with the aim of increasing the leadership capacity of student organization leaders at each PTKI.
"Diklatpimnas is a routine Diktis activity, with the aim of training the leadership spirit of DEMA chairs at PTKI throughout Indonesia," he explained.
Mubin explained that throughout the course of the National Training and Training, DEMA heads were not only given scientific reinforcement about leadership, but were also asked to write papers about national leadership towards a golden Indonesia in 2045.
For this reason, he hopes that the chairman of DEMA IAIN Ternate, as a National Diklatpimnas participant, will take part in the activities seriously, so that the knowledge gained during the National Diklatpimnas can be useful; both personally and institutionally for the IAIN Ternate student organization.
"Our hope is that after participating in the National Training and Training, the Head of DEMA can apply the knowledge received to strengthen the spirit of leadership and develop student character in every student organization at IAIN Ternate," he said.
Mubin said that his party always focuses on increasing student competency in every student organization, so that if there are academic and non-academic activities organized by the Ministry of Religion, as well as every PTKIN, his party still includes students to gain knowledge and experience.
"The goal is that the knowledge they gain will be useful for training themselves in organizational management, as well as constructing their leadership spirit." he stressed. (*)
